Georgia Tech's

Executive Round Table

Providing students with a unique opportunity to articulate ideas in a professional environment.

About Us

ERT meeting

Executive Round Table (ERT) is a professional forum where select Georgia Tech faculty and industry partners from the Southeast join our student members in a setting of open discussion. At ERT's monthly dinner meetings, prominent guest speakers present to the members on a variety of topics pertinent to the business and social arenas. Each presentation concludes with a relevant challenge being posed to the ERT members who collaborate in a “round table” format on proposals to share with the group.

Founded in 1956, ERT is also an elite student organization with a rich history at Georgia Tech. Since its founding, it has featured keynote speakers such as Senator Sam Nunn, director Alfred Hitchcock and Georgia Tech President Wayne Clough. Our members come from diverse walks of life and seek intellectual challenge, professional development, and networking with other driven individuals. Our student body features:

Member Spotlights

"As a first-year at Georgia Tech, I wanted to get a head start on building professional connections and learning more about the business world. ERT stood out to me as an organization that offers direct access to industry leaders and a chance to engage in meaningful discussions with experienced professionals. I saw it as the perfect opportunity to not only network but also to develop skills that would help me grow as I pursue my career goals."

“The Executive Roundtable (ERT) has helped me with my public speaking skills. I remember the first dinner, where Jimmy Etheredge, former CEO of Accenture, asked each table a question, leading to a discussion about leadership in this new AI era. After we discussed, each table needed a representative to share what we talked about to the other tables. I was selected, leading me to be very nervous, as I had to talk in front of a hundred people without totally knowing what I was going to say. After taking a deep breath, standing up, and talking, I realized that it wasn’t so hard. Ever since then, I’ve learned to embrace the nervousness from public speaking and look forward to each opportunity I get.”

“ERT's atmosphere is such a unique and wonderful blend of a serious, professional environment and a warm, friendly environment. I have met so many current members and alumni at the dinners who have professional and personal interests that align with mine and have taught me more about different industries and the successes of members of the Georgia Tech community!“

“Through ERT, I've had the opportunity to reconnect with several Atlanta-area professionals I had previously engaged with on various business endeavors. These interactions have not only strengthened those connections but also opened doors to new opportunities. Additionally, ERT provided a platform to forge meaningful relationships with a diverse group of peers, which has been invaluable to me as a transfer student. Transitioning to a new academic environment requires intentionality in building connections, and ERT has given me the opportunity to integrate myself into the Georgia Tech community while fostering relationships across a wide range of disciplines, from engineering to business. This blend has enriched both my social and professional networks, equipping me with perspectives and partnerships that extend beyond my immediate field of study.“

“My favorite part of being an ERT member is meeting so many like-minded individuals, including individuals in my own class who I might never have connected with otherwise. These individuals are incredibly ambitious and talented, and it's inspiring to have them as part of my network. They continually push me to grow and improve, and the supportive community that ERT has fostered is truly something special.“
